Expecting expectorations

So, I'm getting into going-on-tour mode, and I'm thinking of other activities in which we might engage along the way. So far, with the help of Bailee, I have Tourism on Tour. We're going to try to visit something noteworthy (one hopes, many a ball o' twine) at each stop along the way. I'm open to suggestions.

Also, we took a trip to Norfolk over the weekend, a sort of test run of the logistics of five humans and a metric shit-ton of gear in a Ford Windstar™. Verdict: cramped. But fun.

Finally, many of my co-travelers are opting for a "get-sick now, not later" strategy, the thinking being that if one gets sick now, one won't be sick while on the road. I struggle to see the logic in this, and yet, alas, I've gotten sick. More of the sinus-cough-hating-life-but-not-that-much that seems to have afflicted many a co-worker and friend. I'll let you know of the plan works.

It's hard for me to see how you are going to do anything more than play, sleep, eat, and drive between some of those engagements. Also: should the "8:00A"s on your list of gigs be "8:00P"s?

We won't have time at every stop, but I do want to come up with a list of sites to see. And yes, thanks for the reminder on the times. Not only should they not be 8am, most of them shouldn't be 8pm either. That time was chosen as a place-holder but is unfortunate, as it disappears promptly at 8pm the night of a given show---precisely the hour that stragglers might be trying to figure out where to go and when. We'll be changing those with more accurate times soon.

Not that I am the queen authority on Houston (yet) but you must go to Central Market (www.centralmarket.com) while there as it is perhaps the greatest grocery store in the history of all time. Also: free. I suspect its biggest selling point, in regards to you and your bandmates, will be the seemingly unending supply of samples and the fact that you weigh and label all produce/bulk food on your own.

Thanks, Beth. That sounds worthwhile.

Andrea: I remember visiting that Coke museum on a (shut up) chorus trip in high school. The best part was the room where you could taste all the different flavors served around the world. (And then our teeth fell out.)

I'm not sure whether to classify your comment as "helpful," existence beacon. Nicely done.
