Partial Recall

I've finally begun to upload some photos from tour here. More to come.

It's probably not interesting to most people, but it does allow me to highlight this guy:

When I suggested his shirt might instead have read "I did whom last night?" [my emphasis], I honestly thought he was going to beat me up. But he did not.

Still, a testament that people everywhere? Lame.

It is during moments like those that you must present yourself as the grammar police. Act somewhat official about the whole thing and feign a genuine interest in him. Otherwise he will believe you are trying to steal his spotlight or, even worse, being condescending. And quite frankly, a guy that would wear a shirt like that probably isn't thinking about english class (this coming from a guy who once wore a 'pink taco' shirt to a party of yours).

The who/whom distinction is going out of style...fast. I hate to say it Stanley, but, you gotta let it go.

Someone who is fascist like you:)

LC: Actually, I think I said it something like, "You know, some prescriptivists would demand that your shirt say 'whom,' but luckily I'm not that much of a stickler." He wasn't positive I was fucking with him (as he was very, very drunk), but I think he was pretty sure. Either way: I survived! Huzzah!
