WikiAwesome

Thoughts culminating in a great idea::::
I like it how on Netflix they allow you to make "friends" with people so you can see all the DVDs they order, judge your "friends" based on these DVDs, and occasionally become inspired to give it a shot and rent Gigli. This is a great idea. So what if, pal of pals, what if you could make "friends" with people on Wikipedia and see all the crazy obscure bands and foodstuffs they look up. This would allow you to (a) judge your "friends," just like usual, and (b) spend an hour or two more each day learning everything about everything on everybody's favorite somewhat accurate free Internet encyclopedia.

Explain to me why this is not like an awesome idea.

Coinage

I found myself on the losing end of an election bet. Hoping to quell the spirits of a cow-orker very excited by the Palin pick, I had wagered a dollar that she wouldn't even be on the ticket come election day. And as I paid up, I joked with the cow-orker that he probably shouldn't accept my money, as that's really just spreadin' the wealth around. (He took the dollar anyway.)

Today, however, I realized what I should have done. I should have assembled four quarters or ten dimes or some other collection of coins totalling one US dollar and delivered it quipping, "This, my friend, is change you can believe in."

Oh well.
